Annual Mamaroneck Fireman's Parade Expected To Draw Thousands

MAMARONECK, N.Y. – Mamaroneck Avenue will be the stage for one of the summer’s biggest events Tuesday.

Career and volunteer firemen from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut will come together to celebrate prestige and excellence in public service at the Annual Fireman’s Parade.

Rye Port Chester, and other Westchester departments are expected to take part in the event.

The parade will begin at the Mamaroneck Avenue School at 7 p.m. Fire departments from all over the tri-state area will show off new and antique firetrucks and other safety vehicles, accompanied by bands, bagpipes, motorcycles and flag corps.

It is expected to draw more than 10,000 spectators, so get there early.

The parade ends with an award ceremony at Harbor Island Park – which is also the site of the Annual Firemen’s Carnival. Stop by for food, games and rides to support the local volunteer fire department. Fireworks on July 4.
