LARCHMONT, N.Y. – Larchmont and the Town of Mamaroneck team up once again to present the 2013 Memorial Day Parade Thursday.
The annual parade is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Those marching will assemble at 6:45 p.m. in the Larchmont Train Station lot above Interstate-95.
The parade will proceed onto Chatsworth Avenue, right onto Palmer Avenue, then left onto Larchmont Avenue. It will conclude at Village Hall.
"This is one of the premier events in our village," Anne McAndrews, mayor of Larchmont, has said. "This introduces all the young kids to the day to know that there is a reason behind it."
Last year's parade was dedicated to Police Capt. Thomas Sullivan , who died in an early morning house fire May 1 along with his wife and two teenage daughters. His teenage son survived.
