I read, in the Daily Voice that the police have been dishing out tickets on the Sprain Parkway. The Sprain Parkway is a dangerous parkway with lots of speeding and frequent accidents- including serious injuries and fatalities.

I have a suggestion. I like the idea that the NYS State Police are publicizing the number of tickets issued but don't think that enough people know about the good work that the State Police are doing.

It would be much more effective if the NYS Police could post the information (number of tickets issued) on a digital bulletin board located on the parkway. When motorists are driving - if they see a message board listing the number of tickets issued it would cause motorists to reflect and probably slow down.

People speed when they feel they won't get caught. If they think that the state police are watching (and enforcing the law), they will be more careful.

I thank the dailyvoice.com for publicizing this important safety initiative.
