LARCHMONT, N.Y. – Joseph A. Roma Sr., 77, a lifetime resident of Larchmont, died Saturday, Dec. 12.
Born July 17, 1938, to Lucia and John in Larchmont, he graduated from Mamaroneck High School, where he was an avid baseball player.
His life’s passion was landscape design, which he did for more than 50 years. He was the founder and owner of Roma Landscaping, which he operated with his two sons.
He was predeceased by his wife, Sandra, of 30 years, who died five weeks ago.
He is survived by his children John (Fatima), Joseph Jr. (Maria), Cheryl, Deborah (Richard) and Maria (Chris), 11 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Visiting will take place from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at John J. Fox Funeral Home, 2080 Boston Post Road, Larchmont. Mass will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Augustine Church, 18 Cherry Ave., Larchmont. Entombment will take place at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale.
