Yans was a devoted parishioner and "altar boy emeritus" of Holy Trinity Church, a veteran of World War II, a co-proprietor of Yans Brothers Wines & Liquors, a messenger for BNY, a tennis instructor, and a skilled, all-around handyman.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21, at St. Vito's Holy Trinity, 816 Underhill Ave., Mamaroneck.
