Salvatore Margagliotta, 78, Of Mamaroneck, Navy Veteran, Printer

MAMARONECK, N.Y. - Salvatore Margagliotta of Mamaroneck died Dec. 3. He was 78.

Margagliotta was born May 16, 1936, to Frank and Vita Margagliotta and served in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1957. He worked as a printer for many years at Laguardia Offset Printing in Mamaroneck. He was a volunteer fireman in the Village of Mamaroneck. He served as ex-captain of Columbia Engine & Hose Co. #2. He worked as a crossing guard in the Town of Mamaroneck.

Margagliotta is survived by his wife, Kathryn; children, Vita Marie Tirella (Lawrence) and Christine Longbucco (Billy); five grandchildren; and uncle, William Buchetta. He was predeceased by his grandchild, Sarah Tirella.

Calling hours are Sunday, Dec. 7 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, 767 E. Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck - 914-698-5986. A Blessing will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 8 at St. Augustine's RC Church followed by interment at Greenwood Union Cemetery.
