Meet Your New Mayor: Tonight On Larchmont-Mamaroneck Community TV Special

Larchmont-Mamaroneck Community Television (LMC-TV) invites regular viewers as well as other curious area residents to meet the next mayor of the Village of Mamaroneck.

Tom Murphy, mayor-elect in the Village of Mamaroneck, is Thursday night's guest on LMC-TV Local Live, which can be watch on cable TV or via the internet at www.LMC-TV.org. Murphy, a Democrat, won Tuesday's election by a margin of 60 to 40 percent.

Mayor-elect Thomas A.Murphy is tonight's guest on LMC-TV's popular weekly news show "Local Live."

Tom Murphy, a Democrat, is succeeding longtime Republican Mayor Norman Rosenblum, who ran for Westchester County's Board of Legislators.

Murphy defeated Republican-Conservative George Mgrditchian in Tuesday's election, winning by 60 percent to 40 percent. Murphy received 2,666 votes to Mgrditchian's 1,789, according to unofficial returns from the Westchester County Board of Elections.

Mayor Rosenblum, a Republican, lost on Tuesday by 66 to 34 percent in his challenge to Democratic incumbent Catherine Parker of Rye.

LMC-TV also will feature the "sports play of the week" and "pet of the week" on Thursday night's live broadcast, which also can be accessed live on the Internet or on the cable TV station's web archive here.

Mamaroneck-area residents can watch Local Live on Cablevision Channel 75 and Verizon Channel 36, or via live stream.

The show begins at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9
