Buy for Your Barbecue in Chappaqua and Millwood

This Monday is Independence Day and that means one thing for every red-blooded American male, barbecue! Before you light your grill in Chappaqua this weekend, you’ll need to know where to go.

Rocky’s Millwood Delicatessen offers six types of salads (three color tortellini, Caprese , coleslaw, potato, macaroni and tuna and fruit) as well as hamburger buns and sesame, poppy seed, and hoagie rolls. Rocky’s also has your condiments, snacks even cold beer and ice to wash it all down.

Chappaqua Village Market has your meat. They’ve got about every type of meat known to man. They have eight types of steak: Porterhouse, Del Monaco, Shell, Shrib, Hanger, Flank, Skirt and Marinated steak.

 “We have great steaks, dry-aged prime beef. We’re butchers first here,” said Vinny Milazzo. “Our selection of meat is endless.”

Chappaqua Village Market has 10 different forms of chicken, pork and poultry sausages, as well as the common grill foods like hamburgers, hot dogs, and ribs.

“We have five barbecue sauces, five marinades and one rub, all made from scratch right here,” Milazzo said. “We have a great selection for a store our size. We have enough to satisfy 90% of the world.”

AS Fine Foods on Saw Mill River Road in Millwood has plenty to offer for your barbecue bash this Monday.

They have chick pea salad, pasta salad with mozzarella and tomato, pasta primavera, red potato salad, string bean salads, mix bean salad, as well as five boneless steaks and three bone-in steaks.

AS also has three types of pork sausage, chicken sausage, baby back ribs, and chicken, beef, turkey or pork burgers made in house.

 “It’s all prepared by us,” said Michael Competielio, owner of AS Fine Foods in Millwood. “We do our own butchering and everything on the premises.”
