Kathleen Bridget Mandell, 55, Of Danbury, Certified Teacher’s Aide

DANBURY, Conn. - Kathleen Bridget Mandell of Danbury died Nov. 10. She was 55.

Mandell was born June 17, 1958, to Richard and Maryann Coyle of Danbury. She graduated from Danbury High School in 1977, and attended Mattatuck Community College, where she studied early childhood development. She and her former husband Benjamin Mandell purchased a home in Danbury where they raised their three sons. After helping to run the family dental business for many years, she followed her passion for teaching children and took a position at the Interfaith Early Learning Center in Danbury as a certified teacher's aide. She volunteered for the United Way.

Mandell is survived by her brother, Dennis; former husband, Benjamin; sister-in-law, Pamela; sons, Joseph, Richard and Jack; a granddaughter; mother-in-law, Marion; and many family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Richard; and father-in-law, Morton.

There will be no calling hours. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14 at New Life United Methodist Church at One Beaver Bog Road, New Fairfield.
