With an overall score of 252, FASNY placed first in front of Little Red Elizabeth School (192) and Birch Warren Lenox (110).

“This year’s team, both larger and tighter-knit than ever, demonstrated incredible resilience and willpower," said track and field coach Jeremy Emeras. "Although they competed in difficult conditions, FASNY athletes redefined track and field as a team sport, and this is what made them win.”

Athlete Tristan Conoscente said, “What made us win the tournament was unity and training." Alice Armanath added: “We all knew the championship was a big thing and not just an ordinary track and field meet. We knew we had to give it our best. Even though some of us were becoming nauseous and sick, we managed to pull through and win.”

Atheltics Director Hugues O’csay saluted “a young, but very promising high school track and field team. Lots of talents in speed runs, long and triple jumps.”

Senior Alban Douady said, “After three years of high school track, it feels amazing to finally hold the cup."

O’csay is looking forward to having some of these athletes compete next year in the New York State Association of Independent Schools championship. “They are ready for this prestigious meet of the New York area private schools.”

FASNY’s tennis team also came in first of the ISAL tournament.

Schools enrolled in ISAL are Brooklyn Friends, Churchill School, Birch Warren Lenox, York Prep, French-American School of New York, Mary McDowell Friends School, Bay Ridge Prep, Rudolf Steiner School, Little Red Elizabeth School and Dwight School.

The French-American School of New York is a Westchester County independent, coeducational day school serving over 850 students in nursery through grade 12.
