New Canaan Home Builder Buys Roger Sherman Inn NEW CANAAN, Conn. – New Canaan home builder Andy Glazer has confirmed his $5 million purchase of the Roger Sherman Inn from owners Joseph and Nes Jaffre, according to the New Canaan Advertiser. Glazer plans to build eight houses on the 1.8 acre property, the New Canaan Advertiser said. Danbury Woman Charged With Having Sex With 15-Year-Old DANBURY, Conn. – A Danbury woman has been charged with second-degree sexual assault after an investigation by the state Department of Children and Families (DCF) found that she had sex with a 15-year old male, according to police. Fairfield Fugitive Wanted By U.S. Marshals, Bridgeport Police BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – A Fairfield man is being sought by U.S. marshals and Bridgeport police on first-degree assault charges, according to the Connecticut Post. Four Danbury Students Safe After Fire On School Bus DANBURY, Conn. – Danbury firefighters tackled a fire on a school bus Wednesday morning that had spread to the passenger seats, according to WLAD-AM. The bus's engine caught fire at about 8:15 a.m. near Coalpit Hill Road and Harrison Street, WLAD-AM said. All four students on the bus were able to get off safely before firefighters arrived, reported WLAD-AM. The bus was headed to Broadview Middle School for summer school classes, WLAD-AM noted. Yonkers Inspector General Recommends Firing Of Teachers Union Officials YONKERS, N.Y. – Yonkers Inspector General Brendan McGrath released a report Monday recommending the firing of teachers union President Pat Puleo and Vice President Paul Diamond, according to lohud.com. Puleo and Diamond had been secretly recorded giving advice on how to cover up child abuse, said lohud.com. Pelham High Senior Reads Speech Written For Graduation PELHAM, N.Y. – Pelham High School senior Matthew O'Neil had the honor of reading his speech, titled “Liberating, Exciting and Strange,” during the school's graduation ceremony on June 25. O'Neil was one of two seniors who had speeches chosen by a panel of school faculty.
