Ford announced that it would recall over 450,000 Bronco Sport SUVs and Maverick vehicles because of an issue with the battery that can cause the drive train to lose power and increase the likelihood of wrecks. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration released a report on Friday, April 12, saying sensors in the car could fail to notice a change in the battery's power. Ndeye Amy Thioub, 67, was indicted on Wednesday, April 17, on three counts of filing false tax returns and three counts of filing false tax returns as an employee of the United States, the US Attorney for Massachusetts said. The weekslong search for a 40-year-old woman who went missing near a remote hiking trail in Massachusetts near the border with New York ended earlier this week after hikers found her body on a trail in New York. Richard Swiater, of Great Barrington, won the seven-figure payday playing "$4,000,000 Monopoly Doubler” $10 scratch-off ticket. A Chatham, Massachusetts man will spend the rest of his life in a Pennsylvania prison, prosecutors say. Thadius W. McGrath, 37, was convicted of the 2022 murder of Samantha Jean Rementer on Tuesday, April 16, said the Bucks County District Attorney's Office in a release.
