Small Plane Crashes Near South Jersey Regional Airport: FAA A single-engine Beechcraft Sierra crashed shortly after departing South Jersey Regional Airport in Lumberton, according to the FAA, The crash occurred at around 5:15 p.m. on Monday, April 22.  Only the pilot was on board, the FAA said. The federal agency did not say whether the pilot was injured. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will investigate. The NTSB will be in charge of the investigation and will provide any updates.

Bridgeton's Zane A. Berry Loved To Fish, 23 Zane Austin Berry, a native of Bridgeton, died on April 13, according to an obituary published by Pancoast Funeral Home. He was 23 years old. He was a 2018 graduate of Woodstown High School.  He worked as an installer for RCL Solar, his obituary said.  "Zane was very outgoing, with the largest heart," his obituary said. Camden Man Gets 55 Years Prison For Fatal Shooting A 21-year-old Camden City man has been sentenced to 55 years in New Jersey State Prison for killing a Philadelphia man, authorities said. Antony Shields was sentenced on Friday, April 19, according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay. He must serve 85 percent of the sentence before becoming eligible for parole.
