Weinberg Nature Center In Scarsdale Teaches Campers About Lenape
SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- The Weinberg Nature Center in Scarsdale introduced its Native American Exhibit to summer campers in July, including a look at the Lenape, who once inhabited the area now known as Westchester County.
Staff introduced campers to various types of knives, arrowheads, dugout canoe gougers, a spear, hunting set, bow and arrows, a mortar and pestle of the tribe that flourished in the 16th and 17th centuries. Comic Con Sails Into The Ridgefield Library
RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Comic Con swept into the Ridgefield Library on July 25 like a super hero to the rescue.
The library located at 472 Main St. celebrated “Every Hero Has a Story” with comics, graphic novels, films, games, science fiction and fantasy literature. The afternoon also included activities such as drawing classes, panel discussions, displays, superhero films, various artists showing off their work, and book discussions.
