New details have been released by the Montgomery County Department of Police after a serious crash involving a motorcyclist and Acura on Thursday afternoon in Gaithersburg. Some Metro riders in Southeast DC got a scare on Thursday afternoon after first responders evacuated a station and temporarily suspended service due to smoky conditions caused by a fire. Police have identified the man killed in a hit-and-run crash in Prince George’s County earlier this month. William Wayland, 56, of Potomac, was walking along Saint Barnabas Road in Temple Hills just midnight on Saturday, Jan. 13 when he was struck by a driver who sped off, Prince George's County Police said.
