Rider University Locked Down For 'Active Shooter' Threat
A shelter-in-place was lifted Monday afternoon, April 3, after a call threatening a possible active shooter, authorities said. Lawrence Township police said it was investigating the call made to Rider University Public Safety. Alerts started at about 1:15 p.m. and the lock down lasted about an hour. A special education teacher has sued a South Jersey school district for firing her after she complained about understaffing. Bryanna Mostak, 30, of Hamilton, was fired after taking a medical leave due to stress and anxiety. Trenton police are on the lookout for a 19-year-old student who brought a gun to school and fled after scuffling with a security officer, authorities said.
